Coloring Flower Mandala POSTCARDS are Coming Soon!

I cannot believe it’s already March – what happened to winter?! That right there perfectly sums up the last 4 months for me – because I live 15 minutes from the Wisconsin border and I assure you, winter never just ‘flies by’ around here. I’ve been far busier than I anticipated, and neglecting both my blog and mailing list, shame on me. ๐Ÿ™‚ So here’s my latest update for you on all the projects coming your way!

First up is Coloring Flower Mandala Postcards, based on my best selling adult coloring book, Coloring Flower Mandalas. It’s release date is late April or early May 2016.

The pre-sales on this book have been far beyond my expectations – I guess you all really like postcards! The book includes 20 designs adapted from the original Flower Mandalas book. By the way, they are ADAPTED, unlike many of the other postcard books out there that simply take the already intricate coloring book art and shrink it down to postcard size. The postcards are 5″ x 8″ inches and I slightly simplified each of the designs for the smaller format, while staying true to the original art. They are definitely still intricate, though, and I do recommend fineliner markers in particular for this book (either Staedtler or Stabilio). The paper is nice and thick and these won’t bleed through to the other side.

Speaking of the other side, you really can use these as actual postcards! You just need to use the same amount of postage as an actual letter and not for smaller format postcards:

This is one of my favorite drawings from the original artwork, and I love it even more in it’s new adapted form. So much so, in fact, that I’m offering you a freebie sample, as I always do for each of the books I release! Just click on the thumbnail below to go to the full size print page. ๐Ÿ™‚

OK – now for the other stuff I’ve been working on. I’ll put up a post for each of these in the next couple of weeks, I promise! I illustrated a KILLER gardening book written by the crazy talented Angela England called Gardening Like a Ninja: A Guide to Sneaking Delicious Edibles into Your Landscape. I also wrapped up work on my 6th adult coloring book coming out this fall:ย Coloring Bird Mandalas. That one is seriously my favorite coloring book to date!!! I’ve been wanting to do a book dedicated to birds ever since I put out Coloring Animal Mandalas, because the birds in that book are my absolute favorites.

As always, I have some other fun stuff up my sleeve – but I’m not quite ready to announce anything yet. So stay tuned! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am still learning how to color. I have just started to do “shading” in my works. I feel that i need more knowledge to know how to take it to the next level. What is after “shading” I love to color and thank you for your books.

Love mandalas so can’t wait. Colouring is new to me (as an adult) and find it relaxing.

For those who want instructions on ‘how to color’ I think it would be most helpful to see examples of what others have done to give them inspiration to get started. Yes, we colored when we were children, but coloring as adults with all the different coloring poducts (70+ ppencils in different shades of color, even gold and silver — 60 Gel Ink pens in a varity of colors – throw in shading and blending techniques that I don’t remember using as a chIld) — It gets a little OVERWHELMING for us 80 year olds !!!!!
